VOTE YES ON MEASURE ER

What LA County Voters Should Know for the June 2026 Election

In the June 2026 Election, Los Angeles County voters will decide on Measure ER, a ballot measure focused on protecting healthcare services and strengthening the County’s healthcare safety net.

What Is Measure ER?

Measure ER would temporarily increase the Los Angeles County sales tax by 0.5% for five years. The funding would support healthcare services, public health programs, and healthcare access throughout LA County.

Why Was It Proposed?

The measure was introduced in response to major healthcare funding cuts that could impact hospitals, clinics, public health programs, and healthcare access across Los Angeles County.

Where Would the Funding Go?

Funding from Measure ER could support:

  • Community clinics serving uninsured residents
  • LA County public hospitals and clinic services
  • Public health programs and functions
  • School-based health programs and services
  • Nonprofit reproductive health providers and nonprofit safety-net hospitals
  • Medicaid outreach and enrollment support
  • Correctional Health Services and in-home supportive services

What Does a YES Vote Mean?

A YES vote supports the temporary sales tax increase to help fund healthcare services and programs across Los Angeles County.

What Does a NO Vote Mean?

A NO vote opposes the temporary sales tax increase and keeps the current sales tax rate in place.

Why Does This Matter for Latina/o Communities?

Latina/o communities are among those most impacted by healthcare funding cuts and are more likely to rely on Medi-Cal, safety-net hospitals, and community clinics for care.

There are approximately 2.4 million Latina/o Medi-Cal beneficiaries in Los Angeles County, representing about 60% of all Medi-Cal enrollees in the county.

Measure ER would help protect access to healthcare for working families, students, seniors, and uninsured residents across Los Angeles County, while investing in services that many Latina/o communities rely on every day.
