For LA, We Vote

Vote Yes on Measure ER!
Measure ER would temporarily increase the LA County sales tax by 0.5% for five years to fund healthcare services and support the County’s healthcare safety net. It was introduced in response to major healthcare funding cuts that could impact hospitals, clinics, public health programs, and healthcare access across LA County.
- Health Services to safeguard its public hospitals and clinic services
- DPH to support public health functions
- School-based health needs and programs
- Nonprofit reproductive health providers & non-profit safety-net hospitals
- DPSS to support Medicaid outreach and enrollment
- Correctional Health Services & In-home supportive services
Latina/o communities are among those most impacted by healthcare cuts and are more likely to rely on Medi-Cal, safety-net hospitals, and community clinics for care.
There are approximately 2.4 million Latina/o Medi-Cal beneficiaries in LA County, representing about 60% of all Medi-Cal enrollees in the county.
Measure ER would help protect access to healthcare for working families, students, seniors, and uninsured residents across Los Angeles County, while investing in services that many Latina/o communities depend on every day.
